Baked-off in Migration

La Saison (The Season) Bakery and Chocolatier was founded by Soheil Fathi first in Tehran, Iran, in 2007. Once it became an established business in the heart of the city, Fathi decided to migrate to the United States with his family in 2017. This marked a significant chapter for La Saison as it evolved and refined itself through the immigrant experience.

La Saison strives to share hope, love and connection through it's flavors and services, regardless of its location.

“Migrating means starting all over again in many ways! Yes, there will be more challenges, but eventually, you will have to learn how to overcome them to survive, making you a stronger person. Facing constant challenges might ring true for many people living in the United States, and it always strikes a chord with what it means to be an American for the immigrants in this country. ”

- Soheil Fathi, Pastry Chef Owner & Founder.

Our Statement

The need for connection between society and the self lies at the very foundation of human existence. This need intensifies when being an immigrant. As a Person Of Color in the U.S., Soheil Fathi believes that inequity must end in order for humanity to grow. This philosophy guides our work in creating a taste of utopia that forms resonation with others and spark connections that go beyond societal norms. A recipe for a change!

We believe that ‘bread’ resembles an old tale of a shared history that has been timeless and meaningful for centuries. At La Saison we try our best to tell a story that invites hope and reflects on the universal hunger crisis that is currently affecting the world. Therefore, we seek community involvement in our decision making, production, and service delivery. We are also partnering with local shelters and community centers for offering donations.

We are accountable for our work and strive to objectively measure our performance because we want continuous improvement.

LA SAISON offers a wide selection of daily baked bread loaves, cakes, and sweet treats- Let’s break bread!

Stop into your local bakery for the aroma of freshly baked bread, cookies, cake, and pastries.

We are open Wed-Mon, from 7:00am to 3:00pm located at 407 Concord Ave. in Cambridge.

Our Logo

"At La Saison Bakery, our logo features a strong horizontal line that symbolizes our year-round, welcoming philosophy. This line represents stability and security, like a steady foundation. Just as this line can't tip over, it shows a peaceful and calm feeling. The line connects to the idea of a horizon, connecting us to new ideas and concepts."
